Precautions before treatment
- Do not pluck hairs from areas that have undergone laser or other optical or radiofrequency treatments within the past four weeks. If hair has been completely removed using methods such as epilators, waxing, depilatory creams, or tweezers, wait two weeks for the hair to grow back before undergoing another treatment.
- For two weeks prior to the treatment, apply moisturizer or lotion frequently to the treatment area to keep the skin smooth.
- Avoid sunbathing, sunlamps, or other ultraviolet light exposure for four weeks prior to treatment. If you have previously used topical retinoids, acne medication, or taken nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), you must discontinue these medications for two weeks before starting treatment.
- If you have taken antibiotics for a short period of time, you must stop taking them for 2 weeks before starting a course of treatment.
Post-treatment precautions
- You must use sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
